ARC supports the use of a range computational hardware, from single sign-on Linux and Windows workstations to HPC clusters.

Some resources are available using your WPI username and password, while others will require explicit requests that will be fulfilled based on your individual computational requirements.

If you are unsure of what resources you need access to, feel free to schedule a short consultation with ARC staff.

Workstation Account
Access to the ARC Linux and Windows workstations are based on computational needs. Each account request will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Ace Cluster Account
The Ace high-performance computing system provides 120 CPUs and 12 GPUs distributed over 6 nodes with high-speed interconnect. This cluster is meant for those who intend to make use of its special capabilities, i.e., multiple CPUs or one or more GPUs. Those who do not intend to use these capabilities should use other systems.

Turing Cluster Account
The Turing high-performance computing system provides 480 CPUs and 48 GPUs distributed over 24 nodes with high-speed interconnect. This cluster is meant for those who intend to make use of its special capabilities, i.e., multiple CPUs or one or more GPUs. Those who do not intend to use these capabilities should use other systems.
